Eau de Rich and Famous – Gwyneth Paltrow Black Orchid by Tom Ford
Love her or hate her, but at least admit that the talented Ms. Paltrow is so creative that lives in a stratosphere of her own.
When she is not acting, she is singing. When she is not singing, she is either writing recipes, editing Goop or trying to prove to people that they are wrong about her.
Trying too hard…
While many people perceive Gwyneth as someone who is suffering from the Marie-Antoinette let-them-eat-cake syndrome, I perceive her as someone who tries very hard to be likable and loved by the audience. In fact, that’s what I like about her.
She also has a great sense of fashion, so if I ever want to look like I was born as a princess and have eaten with a golden spoon my entire life, I can just mimic one of her lavish gowns.
Honestly though, have you ever seen her in a tabloid who lists her looks as fashion faux-pas?
This girl has style, a royal like poise and she has found the perfect perfume to accompany her confidence.
Gwyneth Paltrow favorite perfume
Gwyneth Paltrow favorite perfume is Black Orchid by Tom Ford.
Tom Ford is one of the most successful designers ever. So there is no chance he will put his name on a fragrance that is anything but a perfection. And we all know how hard Gwyneth strives for perfection.
I think when Ford commissioned the perfume, he asked for a scent that was advertised towards special audience.
Black Orchid is a scent perfect for the women (and some men) who long for the days when glamour was mandatory.
No velvet plush sweatpants, no sneakers and no bad hair days.
The woman who wears Black Orchid has dreamy eyes engulfed with black kohl, eyelashes drenched in lust and mascara. She wears deep red lipstick and turns eyes with her walk.
There might be a tempest raging inside her, but she does not let anyone seeing that. She battles her demons with diamonds and friends. Behind closed doors.
Now, don’t you think that this is the perfect perfume for Gwyneth?
She has bad days, bad weeks and even months, but she keeps herself composed. She does not trash people, she only puts them in her shadow. And she is perfect at consciously uncoupling things from her life: sugar, wheat, gluten and ex lovers.
So, if you are ever in that state of mind when you need to reassure yourself, just put on your shades, a bit of Black Orchid and shine so bright, that people will need to increase their SPF.
