Versace follows up their Eros for Men release from 2012 with Eros Femme, a jasmine and pomegranate-infused knockout that sacrifices all your senses to the God of Love. The heart of this fragrance is a Pandora’s Box filled with sensual suggestions, and lined with both an infusion of jasmine petals as well as jasmine sambac absolute.
The top notes include lemon and bergamot, yet both are set aside to make room for a salacious pomegranate accord (pomegranate is one of the world’s oldest aphrodisiacs, so it’s no wonder it takes over top billing). The citrus notes aren’t here to provide their usual bright and cheerful opening – instead they are shadowy henchmen for the pomegranate’s dark and addictive agenda.
The drydown has both musk and ambroxan, which gives the base of Eros a skin scent-like feel, and the sandalwood note is as rich and distracting as the jasmine absolute is at the beginning.
Eros Femme is a jasmine lover’s dream perfume, and one packed with plenty of erotic attitude. For Versace and jasmine fans, this is the top of the mountain.
