this smells nothing like what i expected it to smell like! i'm not a floral person when it comes to perfume, so i was expecting the two floral notes to stand out more, but they are so incredibly subtle in such a pleasant way. the petrichor note here is my favorite, it's such a stand out & it really makes me feel like i'm standing out in the rain in the castle gardens or something. i genuinely am obsessed with this perfume, it's perfect to wear on its own or layer it with a lot of other perfumes!

This scent reminds me of the evergreen forest in Washington state after rain fall in spring when the flowers are blooming. It’s a musky wet wood and dirt smell with heavy florals. I like this a lot.

The lilac and violet are pretty bright and there’s just a little earthiness underneath. It’s not overwhelming and had decent staying power, it’d need a touch up before dinner if you were going back out. I’d consider this a unique floral and would reach for it during the wintertime. Was happy to sample it but don’t think I’d purchase a full bottle

I really wanted to like this. I loved the notes of dirt and grass that were present when you first spritz it on. Unfortunately these faded immediately and then you’re just left with a boring old lady floral.

this is a lovely, wearable floral-ish, earthy fragrance, that also smells slightly cold/wet... i think the petrichor helps with that. but not cold/wet in a bad or sickly way, but in a beautiful gothic way, which is perfect for obvious reasons!! also has a hint of warmth from the (vegan!!) ambergris... it's wearable but unique. i don't know that i've ever smelled another perfume like this!! notes are blended and balanced perfectly in my perfume-uneducated and therefore humble opinion. this is how i imagine ellen hutter would smell. also makes me imagine i'm not wearing a perfume, but this is just how i smell, if that makes sense, like if i was a beautiful, mysterious, ethereal woman in a period piece (aka lily rose depp as ellen hutter) i first bought the sample of this, then got the monthly subscription size bc i love it. debating if i should get the full size... don't let the reviews tell you it smells like dirt. unless you think dirt smells good, then it MIGHT smell like dirt. tl;dr one of my favs, i fear
