In partnership with Nosferatu and Focus Features, Heretic is proud to collaborate on a fragrance inspired by the iconic vampire. Cold, pale and pellucid, this fragrance evokes the uneasy chill of encountering an apparition. The fragrance opens with a clap of thunder and downpour of rain, strikes of lightning fill the air with petrichor and electricity. Tangled in the stones of the dark, wet heart chord you will find lilac in vivid a bouquet of cadaverous hues punctuated by inky violet absolute. This floral accord of ether conjures memories of forgotten innocence and love everlasting that give way to the peculiar delights of vegan Ambergris. Soft and velvety the ambergris dances on the skin in a nostalgic waltz that is both delicate and hedonistic.
Nosferatu is only in theaters this Christmas.

But I really don't get a realistic or strong lilac (even dead/wilting lilac) from this. I can smell some of the petrichor/earthiness but there's an almost coriander like subtle spice to it that's not necessarily bad, just not at all what's described. There is almost a paper-y/cardboard-iness that reminds me of the smell of paper you'd get from sample strips in old magazines. All of which would be somewhat OK but there is almost zero projection and it's gone even from the skin within an hour or two.00
