It immediately made me think of shrubbery. It's not a bad scent - earthy, a little citrus - tangy is the best way I could describe the sting of it? It's not as warm or woody or sweet as I thought it would be. "Thorn" makes sense for the name. It got a bit more spice to it after I had it on for a while.
