Fugazzi Angel Dust to Orange Crush: Where to Start With the Brand Everyone’s Watching

Fugazzi‘s origin story starts, quite fittingly, in Egypt. Founder Bram Niessink traveled there with his grandfather and came back captivated by the country’s rich fragrance culture, which included learning about their ritual oils and juices used thousands of years ago. That trip became the seed of a brand: Niessink combined a genuinely sharp instinct for fragrance with powerful ingredients and old-world techniques, then brought in industry experts to help polish that into an actual line of bold, playful perfumes (including Fugazzi Angel Dust).

Launched in 2018, Fugazzi has moved fast since. The name itself is a playful spin on “fugazi”, or illusion. Under Niessink’s direction, the brand has pushed into major retailers like Sephora while staying rooted in the same instinct that started it. That momentum hasn’t gone unnoticed; Niessink was Scentbird’s 2026 Rising Star Honoree at this year’s Digital Fragrance Awards, recognized for FUGAZZI’s rapid growth and distinctive identity.

The entry point: Fugazzi fragrances to try

Angel Dust XDP is the brand’s bestseller, now amplified. The Extrait doubles down on White Amber Crystals and Cashmeran, and adds Pink Peppercorn to sharpen the Black Pepper already in the original. Feathery and addictive, it’s soft musk with real staying power.

Orange Crush XDP takes the original EDP and turns it up: bolder, deeper, longer-lasting. It opens with bright, juicy orange, energetic and warm, balanced by spicy Pepperwood and deep, woody Akigalawood, with Musk adding a soft sensuality underneath. It’s the kind of scent that manages to feel both fun and genuinely well-built.

Both are a good entry point into what makes Fugazzi worth watching: fragrances that don’t play it safe, built by a founder who’s clearly still following the same instinct that started the brand.

How to get Fugazzi on Scentbird

Both Angel Dust XDP and Orange Crush XDP are available through a Scentbird subscription, an 8 ml vial at a time, so you can test the brand’s signature boldness before committing to a full bottle. Given how much Fugazzi leans on staying power as part of its identity, that’s exactly the kind of thing worth living with for a few weeks rather than judging off a single spray.
