Warm, clean scent - great for everyday use
Having never tried a Philosophy perfume, I was excited to see it offered by Scentbird. I usually go for the more complex perfumes, but really need to lighten them up for the daytime and the office. My love of roses and sandalwood drew me to Pure Grace Nude Rose, and I wasn't disappointed. Nude Rose opens with a bright burst of orange blossom and neroli - the only sweetness in the perfume - and then settles down to a rose, musk, and sandalwood composition that is both warm and mature. And that maturity is definitely not a "grandma perfume" smell, it is just due to the fact that the sweetness of the opening notes has dissipated and a clean warmth is left behind. In fact, the scent is so clean that it feels like you not only just stepped out of the shower, but just did laundry as well - very, very clean. The notes are few and pronounced - not overwhelming, so safe for work - and the warmth works throughout all seasons as well.
