Confusing scent from the description
I've been trying to find my signature scent "Black Opium" by YSL & I've been basically searching on my own, blindly, even after taking the quiz, which btw, never recommended anything w/ coffee & chocolate-I found these on my own! Anyways, I found this scent after finding a few of my own choices(coffee, chocolate, vanilla, amber) & chose this b/c of its description as "a chocolatey scent w/ amber, patchouli, berries, peaches" & 70% based cocoa-NOT AT ALL & that's what's stated in the above description & on the card I have right in front of me?! Nothing says dark chocolate like stated in the beginning of its description & so I am really confused by this scent!!!!?? It is definitely a beautiful fragrance, just NOT EVEN CLOSE to what I AM looking for in a scent personally & why I rated it so low FOR MYSELF! No where do I smell chocolate & the scent is so light, barely there & I know I am going to run out early because I have to use a few sprays every couple of hours & I have to ask others what they think & spray it on in front of them! I can not really distinguish the top, middle & bottom notes, which coming from Gucci, I would have thought this would of been not necessarily stronger, but bolder in a way & last a lot longer!!!! It is beautiful, but for someone wanting something fresher & on the lighter side! I'm glad to be a member of Scentbird to try before I buy! I just hope it will become easier as time goes by, to find the scents & notes I'm looking for since they no longer carry YSL's Black Opium-the main reason I signed up because I received an email from Scentbird w/ a picture of Black Opium right on top & discontinued selling it a little bit before I joined! Oh well, here's to the chase & to new discoveries!!!
