Floris London’s Santal sculpts a powerful and elegant masculinity from deep, full notes of green grass, cardamom, and cloves. Underneath these briskly aromatic top notes resides a polished heart of sheer lavender, and dry, spiced nutmeg. Santal finishes strong with bracing cedar, sandalwood and vanilla.

This comes out of the bottle smelling like cheap men’s cologne. Ten minutes later, it still smells like cheap men’s cologne. Absolutely not.
A little too strong for me. Not sure what the top note was.
Very cardamom forward.
Smells like Original Santal without the prestige or depth
Lasted a long while, brilliantly pairing scents
its smells exactly like how i remembered, i used to wear it a lot...its very soft and sexy
I like the way it smells and it last long. so yeah I would wear it alot
likeable, but nothing groundbreaking.
I loved it
Smell was ok
It was ight
Spicy and earthy, long lasting
I like stronger, long lasting perfumes and on me this lasted all day! Could be too strong for other people though. It’s also pretty earthy, and if you like “clean” or “fresh” perfumes this might not be for you! Though “unisex” most people would say this is on the “masculine” side, if you prescribe to such categorizations. Personally I think the male/female division of perfumes is because current social/fashion norms say that women should smell like clean flowers and men should smell like musky spice. I don’t care about those norms so I just pick whatever notes and scents I like, regardless of the male/female label 💁🏻♀️
I’m still young
This one smelled like something I would wear if I were 85, I couldn’t wear it but gave to my grandma (95) and she liked it. The “notes” all sounded good on the card but in theory I don’t think they blended well together I got the fall vibe from them, but not sure what made it smell “old”
Not for me
The scent is a bit too masculine for me
Don't love, don't hate
I enjoy the sent. It last almost all day. It was not over powering
Smells like for old people
Light but complex, not too overpowering but noticeable throughout the day
One of my recent favorite discoveries
This is fragrance is class.
Smelled like an old woman
I expected earthy tones but it smelled like an old woman
Didn't like it
didn't like the smell
its just good.
it was great.
I wish it was just a tid bit stronger and longer-lasting.
I gravitate towards unisex fragrances. This is far more masculine in my opinion. I gave it to my husband and he really likes it.
A little too masculine. Would like it to be just a tad sweeter to balance
Not Strong Enough
Wasn’t as long lasting as I had thought it would.
It was ok but not my thing...
Hated this. Smelled like my papaws cologne from the early 80’s. Wore it once and never again.
An Okay Scent
If you like light floral scents, then you'd like this one.
So, I realize this is a man’s fragrance but somehow it ended up in my queue. And I am very happy it did. In the spirit of laissez faire I decided to try it- after all scents don’t have to have a gender and historically scents were much more fluid then what we consider they are now. It started off overwhelmingly clove, however, the dry down really emphasizes the vanilla and cardamom with a lovely amber tone. I don’t know if I would spend the money to buy a bottle, but I will use the entire sample and see how I feel at the end.
I will buy this one. I can smell all of the layers and none are overwhelming.
This is meant for a man
I like this, but it is definitely a masculine fragrance, I'm not sure how I mistakenly found it and put it in my queue. I have a (male) friend who uses another santal fragrance and this doesn't have the richness of that one. This will probably end up in the trash, it smells a bit too old man for any of my friends.
Love the scent
I love the scent, but it doesn’t last long on my skin!
A nice intro
This was my first introduction to the world of Santal. I love this scent. However, it is gone after only a couple of hours. I wish it were longer-lasting. That is the only con.
It smelled luxurious and beautiful
This is a men’s cologne I was really expecting to receive women’s...
If you like wearing men’s cologne....
I literally had to double check what I ordered because I was so surprised by the masculine smell. I think that may be like some edgy trend, but I’m a lady and I want to smell like one. My husband actually told me I smell like “a bro” but then asked me the name bc he thought about wearing it himself. Then I told him it’s “Santal by Floris” and he was confused. Me too. I got not one compliment, in fact I feel like people were like “why?”.....
Like a hug
A gently warm fragrance that reminds me of a hug.
powdery, but masculine
this one is a weird combo for me. Not a fan of this masculine, yet powdery mix. has an old-man vibe to it.
it's good but bad
too masculine and yet to feminine
Good smell, short lived.
Smells really good almost like tabarome by creed, but only lasted about two hours on my skin
There was something about this fragrance that didn’t work with my body chemistry. On the dry down it smelled almost savory on me, like I had been strolling through a food market. It was not for me. I have it to my husband who it smells quite woody on.
Way too strong
Also smelled like a cheaper attempt at a xlassy perfume
Tasteful and rich, similar to Santal 33
This smells divine. I ordered for myself and my girlfriend immediately claimed it and it’s now her scent. It is a very rich scent but not too overpowering or obnoxious. Very woodsy and natural. Love it
This smelled vaguely like flowers, like soapy bathwater, diluted and generic. I don't see the point in bottling that.
Awesome fragance product
Best thing about you can give it as a gift they will love it coming
I enjoy this floral, spicy fragrance! Good for summer nights when it cools off a little bit!
I ended up giving this to my boyfriend because it was too Masculine for me.
I didnt care for it
it was to strong
I liked it
Not a perfume - definitely for men.
Very strong and masculine smell. Glad my boyfriend likes it because I hate how it smells on me. Second scent bird shipment that was a complete disappointment since I am trying to find a perfume. Not cologne.
Its a different clean smell. Soft and subtle
This has a good clean almost barber shop smell to it. If that makes any sense. The santal name is not very descriptive of the scent. Woods are very soft undertones. the scent is very subtle and doesn’t last all day. But it is a very pleasant masculine scent. Im glad I gave it a try but I wouldn’t repeat.
Didn’t like it at all
Smell like men’s cologne
Smell like a woman
This opens up and grows on me--has all the elements/notes I love...seems even a little gourmand
Good scent just not for me
I gravitate towards more masculine scent, less florals. This however was more earthy. Frankincense And musk bass notes are not for me.
Smells like bad men’s deodorant
Not at all as described :( gave me a headache instantly and smells like bad men’s cologne or aftershave.
I found it a bit masculine for myself, but my husband wears it now and it smells amazing on him.
Its nice and warm
gorgeously crafted classic sandalwood with a twist. unisex leaning towards more masculine. the olfactory treat is the classic santal wood with light perfectly complimenting undertones
Really nice scent.

I liked Rag and Bone's Oddity a little better, it was more interesting and had a nice smell once it dried down. This is good for a really basic scent or to mix with other fragrance, but if you're looking for something a little more complex you'll want to pass unless you really really love sandalwood.I wouldn't be upset if it was gifted to me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this.
it smelt good
I like the smell not strong
Smooth woody, sweet but not too sweet. Nice cold weather masculine scent.
A little too plain/old fashioned
Very nice, more masculine than I thought it would be but I liked it and did get lots of compliments.

My dad ordered this and it's very classic clean guy smell. Cedar, a dollop of warm spiciness, and a hint of true lavender to give it a fresh clean bite with the cedar. It reminds me of a deodorant I often swipe from my BF in summertime (same scent family?) , and I can see myself adding this to my queue if not borrowing a spritz when I visit. I would say it leans pretty masculine for a unisex scent. But I don't mind that sometimes. Others on here say it's categorically spicy, but compared to dad's Old Spice this is WAY fresher and brighter with only a hint of the spiciness that dominates there. And it IS woody, but not like dark, damp oakmoss or vertiver earthy-woody. Again, it's cedar, and sandalwood, and fresh lavender. It's warm and... whatever the word would be if wood were sharp? Bright? Tart?
I really liked this A LOT. I wish scentbird offered #89 by Floris but this was great. So great, in fact I Might buy a large bottle of it.

A beautiful Fresh and Lovly Amber scent
Another winner from floris, but I wished it lasted longer. A very fresh and happy amber meets beautiful citrus. Simple, but yet effective, with a hidden sweetness.
I like this scent, it’s not too strong.

A subtle master piece
Not a strong scent with low to moderate sillage. So I was surprised by just how long it lasts, more than all day. This is a light and sophisticated fragrance that will make people think *you* smell good rather than ask about your scent and some times that's just what you want.
too masculine and not that interesting
I prefer unisex scents since I'm not into scents that are too fruity or powdery. I like all of the different notes of this product, but I don't think they worked well on me. I was hoping for more vanilla and cardamom. Also, there was nothing special about this scent.
Not My Cup Of Tea
I did not like it@ all

Smelled like my grandpa
This reminded me of my grandpa's cologne. Not a bad smell per se, just not something I want to wear around all day as a woman.
45 to 54
This is very much like a lot of scents traditionally marketed towards men. However, because they wanted the scent to be more unisex leaning, it's not strong as those scents usually are and they added more vanilla to make it a bit softer. Now, anyone can wear it, but it's not terribly interesting.

So close to a 4
This is a love, like smell. Definitely not an everyday smell. The first spray I felt like I was back at my grandmas house during Gin Rummy card night. But as the day goes on it becomes more of the lavender spicy undertones.

A little on the spicy side. Not great for everyday.

Love the way this smells.
The initial spray smells beautiful and dry down as well. Doesn’t seem to last long on me. Feel this is definitely a unisex scent. Probably the first scent in my subscription that I like.

Liked this a lot
I liked this one a lot obviously someone else did too because it was stolen. I plan on getting it again soon.

Too strong gave me a headache
