True arrogance is the lack of it. When you are as composed, on-point, and together as you can be, everything reflects your sense of calm and confidence. English Laundry’s Arrogant fuses sheer bergamot and cedar wood with a polished lavender and coriander heart for the ultimate in approachable sophistication.
I love this cologne, I love the first spritz, but it's not that strong. after a couple hours the scent fades until you can really smell it at all unless you're dangerously close. Great for a first date, Great if you don't plan on sweating or moving at all.
I love a fresh warm scent. This fits the bill. It reminds me of other scents I have had in the past (tobacco flower from Body Shop, Grey Flannel) but the best is that there is not musk! It starts bright and warm fades gracefully. I love it.
Reasonable quality cologne with decent staying power and projection. Very soft and suede-like. Warm. Smells like many others (Prada - Amber pour Homme and Burberry Touch). While not noted, I get a hit of violet which is not my favorite note. I didn't find anything special about the scent.
The only thing i dont like about this cologne, it doesnt last long.. It'll stay on for about 4 hours and its gone. But it smells amazing. Now that i know lavender is a top note, i can understand why it smells as good as it does.
It smelled like an older gentleman from the late 70's/early 80's. Remnicent of cheap colognes like Brut or Old Spice.
My GF said "Nothing dries my lady parts up faster than that scent. Smells like my grandpa".
Thats enough for me. NEXT!!!
This is one of my favorite colognes I've had so far. I've received a lot of complements on the scent. I was sad when I ran out of it. It's a great every day scent. I would have given it a 5 star review but if you don't like the smell of fresh laundry every day it can get old. Overall excellent scent!
The sent is good for nice cool days maybe in a pinch hot days also. To me its nice but nothing to amazing. It does not project well but does have pretty good lasting power about 8 hours or more but i had to put a lot on to get that effect. I did have a co worker notice it once they got close to me and they enjoyed the sent
Sn: Gf likes it
It does not really go with me, but it may for some of you. It wears off pretty quickly so you have to reapply once in the afternoon. It does smell like fresh laundry, but also has an almost baby powder smell which does not appeal to me. I know this is kind of weird, but I think it would be a very good scent for someone with drier skin. Since my skin is oily, it kind of kills the scent.
Surprised and concerned that this cheap-smelling, heavy-on-the-lavender cologne (perfume?) has such high ratings. This is my first month with Scentbird and this smells awful. Had to double and triple check that this was meant for a man. Smells like cheap women's perfume. If this is one of the highest rated colognes on Scentbird, I can only imagine what stench is coming next month. One more like this and I'm out.
I really wanted to like this one but i don't. It has a perfume like muskyness to it. It gets a lil better and lighter after it dries down but I'm still not impressed. After last month's Robert Graham Courage cologne that i got it's hard for anything to beat that one. It's my new favorite all round scent. If your on the fence on this one and want something you know will be good then i suggest trying Courage. Scent: 5/10 Longevity:6.5/10
Was pleasantly surprised. It peaked my interest after purchasing a pair of slacks from English Laundry that I wore to a fashion event and I received a lot of unexpected compliments so why not dive into the fragrance which I must say is a winner
I never write reviews unless I’m complaining but I’m such a big fan of this company now that I felt the need to. This was the first cologne I tried and I’ll admit I tried it because it was on the commercial but this blows every cheap Ross cologne I’ve ever had out of the water. I love sweet smelling colognes though so everyone may not love it; to me though it has the perfect blend of sweet smelling wood and amber (coming from someone who isn’t big in musky woodsy colognes). I’ve already recommended this to anyone who will listen lol. Definitely worth a try and $14 for an actually decent sized sample of an $80 bottle of cologne is pretty good IMO Definitely my new favorite monthly subscription. Also shipping said it would be here on a Monday and it came the previous Wednesday afternoon, you can’t beat their shipping.
I found it initially very strong and rather unpleasant. After it dried the scent changed into something appreciably more agreeable, however it was incredibly faint. It was a struggle to smell it. If the dried smell was significantly stronger and longer lasting and the initial smell was more pleasant then maybe I would consider it. As it stands however I will have to rate it as two stars.
