This woody floral fragrance embodies a fresh elegance and divine sensuality. Its marriage of vintage jasmine and golden, unctuous aromas like Haitian vetiver and patchouli offers a scent that is at once mild and powerful.

Familiar but a new smell
It's not something I would normally go for, but it grew on me. Many people have asked me what I am wearing. I highly recommend it
Dirtier Vetiver but nice
Didn't know what to make of this one at first. One minute I liked it & the next I didn't. As a huge fan of Vetiver with many Vetiver based frags in my collection, I can honestly say not the best Vetiver frag out there & really didn't live up to my expectations based on all the positive reviews I've read... But to it's defence, I'm comparing it to some really high quality heavy hitters in the Vetiver frag market 4x the cost... Bottom line, great frag for the price. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR but in this case, you're getting a bit more! In other words, if you like Vetiver... GET THIS ONE!
Not at all what I thought.
Very strong and old lady like when I first put it on. After the dry down it was wonderful.
Not overpowering and stays all day
I really enjoyed this scent. It is not overpowering but at the same time stays with you all day. It has a strong note of vetiver and a light note of patchouli (I believe). I got so many compliments where people stopped and asked what I was wearing. It is a great year round scent which is hard to find. It’s also good for casual, but great for any occasion like a wedding or formal dinner.
Not for me
Would be good as a date night perfume. Pleasant scent but I am very sensitive to smells and I could not wear it.
Masculine and refreshing
I love the smell of vetiver and this did not disappoint. It is pretty masculine but once it’s on the skin it warms up a bit.
It has a lasting fresh and flirty scent, it isnt to strong, i love it.
This, to me, smells very much like a chokingly strong old lady perfume. It sticks to the back of your nasal passages and I can't stop sneezing whenever I wear it. Way too strong for me, even with just one light spritz.
Wow! I love Love this scent, beginning to end. Scent last all day with one spritz on back of neck. Delicious! I Will buy a big bottle ASAP 💗
Starts out a little on the masculine side but softens to a floral with an earthy edge. I really like the progression of the notes. Not my favorite when first sprayed but within an hour it’s delicious and keeps getting better. Soft scent but with tenacity, I get wafts of it hours after thinking it’s faded.
Earthy and spicy
Just the right combination that mellows out to a sweet, mossy scent.
4 stars because I always have issues finding a fragance that stays on my skin for a while. However, I have mixed feelings about the scent. When first sprayed I got a big ol' punch on my nose, it smelled like a very powerful detergent. I'm still trying to come up with the exact scent, but I really can't. After it dries off, the scent becomes powdery fresh, still, a bit pungent. It lasts a long time. I'm still not sure it is really for me.
Great vetiver! The opening is kind of on the “dirty” or “earthy” side but the dry down is phenomenal. Got this as a monthly subscription but will be buying the full bottle sometime soon. Thank you scentbird!
I love the scent of this and am pleasantly surprised. Choosing a scent online seemed risky to me as most scents turn into "powered old lady" scent once I have them on for a while. This was lovely, but a bit strong. It also smells just like my bestie, so I kept looking for her every time I caught a wiff of myself. lol
Strong but beautiful
Oh man. I'd been waiting to try this scent for awhile and I'm so glad I did. Commodity's perfumes are intended to be layered together to form complex scents, but Vetiver stands extremely well on its own. The vetiver and patchouli are SHARP and strong and almost acidic when you initially spray, but they die down and the jasmine really shines through. I would call this a more green than woody scent, it reminds me of early morning at a marsh or pond. Also, the staying power was very good on my skin. I can still smell it throughout the day after applying in the morning. If you have a sensitive nose you may want to give this one a pass, but if you're a fan of strong, unique scents, it may be worth a try.
Cigar and Leather
First impression, cigar and leather lounge. Didn't like it. Dry down it was a bit lighter, but don't find this lasting very long. Wife didn't like it either.
Clean, green, woodsy and unique
Love love love this scent. Very present but not overwhelming in the least. 2 sprays- perfect for office or daytime use. 4 sprays- perfect for a spring/summer night. Gives the impression of being sophisticated and laid back at the same time and have yet to smell anything like it. Many unique/niche fragrances tend to be hit or miss, but this has it’s own identity while still being very approachable.
Great cologne. Reminds me of Tom Ford Vetiver
Sweet then sharp
First impression is of an acidic fruit taste in summertime; my primary lasting impression is of natural bug spray, nootkatone may be accurately explicative of this sensation. Energizing. Overall as a winter cologne I think this is appropriate, I tend to think of slicing fruit with an oily rind after I apply it. Happy to think of hot bright nights outside during cold dark months.
I've received Commodity: Dark rum, book and vetiver. I love all of them! Great scent, long lasting!
Really liked this! Very distinct a bit overpowering at first but after it dries down it's a very pleasant everyday scent!
I love this fragrance. I had a French client whos "signature" scent was a vertier purchased from a pharmacy when she went home to France. It was gorgeous. Light, crisp, and green. She gave me a bottle as a gift, which has long since been emptied. I have searched for something to replace it. I finally, four years later, found that in Commodity Vetiver. Though a little intense at first, it settles to become fresh and green. It brings to mind fields, summers, and cocktails. It's just beautiful. I am so excited to have found it.
Very nice smell, a little overpowering at first, but once it calms down smells amazing.
