An exotic fragrance derived from a sceptered rose which blooms throughout the summer in the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden at the New York Botanical Garden. ROS unfurls into a sophisticated scent with a masculine character, bearing citrus top notes over an alluring midnight heart of dark spice, amber and anise.

Smelled like pepper
If I smelled this in the store, I would have run far away from it. I like spicy, warm scents and this was not in that category at all. Too strong, peppery (ugh), and so not me. I hate wasting 15$ every month to find I didn't like something and had to throw it away.
Not my type of perfume scent
This smelled exactly what I envision an old lady to smell like.
I've seen the 'old lady' description on every single type of perfume. Please people leave reviews that describe the scent with other adjectives so your review can be more useful.
Not for me
This came to me as the monthly scent and it wasn’t something I liked. Can’t explain it but just not a scent I loved.
Strong, sultry smell for date night!
I liked the mix of musky with slightly flowery. It smelled strong at first, but settled nicely with an almost powdery finish. Not for the person looking for a light fragrance, this is a commanding fragrance!
Dont like it and didnt picj it
Not totally "rosey"
I love floral scents that are still able to be masculine especially with the Rose. So I assumed Ros would be more...rosey. It's not really, but it's still a good fragrance
Not for me
Not for me
The scent was too strong for me.
not my preference
Not sweet enough
I didnt like it much needed to have a sweater smell
smells like an old man
there's a definite old-man vibe with this one. Not for me.
The smell of this perfume is amazing a sweeter smell.
Beautiful artisanal rose perfume
Perfect scent for someone who is sure of themselves and confident. Sultry and sophisticated, it commands the room and with a heady rose and complex undertones. Love this scent. Wouldn’t recommend for someone younger as it may be too overpowering and is more or a vintage “old school” scent. Marem is a good alternative for something lighter.
Didnt smell good on me at all
I didn't smell too overpoweringly "Rose" which I like about it. There are other notes as well, and it didn't smell to much like Perfumers Workshop "Tea Rose"
not really my type
Made my head hurt
To strong it smelled so bad I put it in the trash
just not my sent
I love this perfume! It's very feminine and strong. Perfectly rosey.
My new favorite scent
I love Caswell Massey fragrances but this one is my favorite by far! Soft scent that is great for day time or date night.
This is the scent I wanted!!!
Not my kind that I am use to smelling
It was not for me...does not smell nice
It smells like mens cologne
It smells like mens cologne
Cuz it is mens cologne?
The fragrance of this product is not for me... It was nice to try it, but it did not work well with my body chemistry.
smelled like my pediatric doctors office. i don't know how else to describe it but don't think i'd recommend this one.
very un exciting
did not care for this one at all also, does not last long on the skin
Smelled like it was made for an older person.
The frgrance smelled like it was for an older person. Not as vibrant at all!
I am a collector of all different types of fragrances. I have no space for this one anywhere. smelled like urine on my skin. threw it in the garbage. not sure why this was so poor but maybe it is my skin.
Love Wearing This For Casual Meet-Ups, Errands, Shopping. Feels Super Clean And Light Scent For Regular Use.
Only got two so far
I’m a rose lover. Therefore I’m a hard critique of Rose center fragrances. Take my word this is perfect. Boozy rose scent in the opening before relaxing into a sweet but always dark rose. Not too dark but dark enough.
I like the smell! Compliments my natural scent perfectly.
Scent to strong for me
Love this - great evening classy smell. Reminds me of some classic perfumes.
Another recommendation on my scent-profile from Scentbird ... but I REALLY didn't like this one!

Give It Time
Punchy; that is the first impression this product will give you. The initial scent is very rosey with a slight sourness. When you leave the house immediately after spraying it on, everyone else around you will get that tart punch as well. However, let the fragrance dry down for about half an hour or so, and you're left with a much smoother scent that retains its floral character, but also has a slight spiciness and a great weight that could almost be described as woody. The fragrance also becomes more discrete, becoming somewhat hard to smell unless you're nuzzling the wearer, or are right on top of the application spot. Dispite its floral character, I have to say that the fragrance does lean a bit more on the masculine side due to its weight and presence. However, don't think it's exclusively a man's fragrance. For anyone who wants a slightly floral fragrance with a heavier presence, I would definitely recommend this product. This is not for anyone who wants a fresh and light floral fragrance. Reguardless, I really enjoyed my experience with this fragrance. Its bold multiple layers, interesting twist on floral fragrances, and overall wearability make it tempting for me to buy the whole bottle. My only critique is its endurance; the fragrance usually lasts half the day at best.
Soft, alluring and sultry

Deliciously rich scent
I love the florals to this bouquet. So rich and long-lasting.

Smells like old people
This one is one of my least favorites I have gotten on Scent Bird. As soon as I tried it, I wished I hadn't. I feel like I aged 40 years by putting it on. No thanks!
My least favorite. Smells like something an old lady would wear. Everything before this I loved.
My very least favorite thing is the ugly, pointless use of the phrase “old lady” to describe a disliked perfume. Do you know why? - because I am an old lady. Think about what you just wrote and think about how it makes older women feel. Then think about how many different kinds of perfume “old ladies” wear, so how useless and undescriptive (in addition to cruel) your review is.
This will be an air freshener-
Smells like a flower shop. Way to old school and powdery. Smells like something you would encounter in a senior center on how night.
I agree with Eliza - this common use of “smells like old ladies” is outdated, not actually very descriptive or helpful, and insulting to older woman. At a senior center no less. How dismissive. “Old ladies” read these reviews.
As a “senior” and perfume collector who wears many fragrances that are all quite different from each other, it is difficult to convey just how cruel and pointless your review is. Come on, you must have older women in your life - do better for their sake. Imagine them reading your review.
Classic, Refined, Woodsy smell
Decent Fall smell. Very Woody and masculine.
Smells like a old stale lady... would even spray this on some dry 🌸 I gave to my nana no stars if I could #ewwww
Right on, Eliza. Then giving it to Nana assuming she’d like it while describing it as #eeeeew. (Hashtags aren’t relevant everywhere, btw.) Do you want your Nana to stink? Do you want to imply only an old lady deserves this perfume you think reeks? Did you ask if she liked it? Is that really a thoughtful gift?
What is wrong with you? I am an old lady and this review is useless and cruel? Are you seriously going to try and claim that every older woman smells exactly alike? When if you stand by a perfume counter you will see many older women coming in and buying completely different scents? But somehow, magically, they all smell exactly alike?! How would you like it if someone went around talking about stinking old women in front of your mom? In front of you if you are lucky enough to get old? Do better! Show some accuracy, creativity, and kindness.
Reminds me of my old great aunts powder
Did not enjoy this. Description sounded good and smelling just the bottle was fine, but as soon as I sprayed it I could tell I wouldn't like it. Reminds me of an old ladies powder.
I cannot believe the cruelty and ignorance of many of these reviews! I AM AN OLD LADY!!! I collect fragrance, along with many of my old lady friends. We do not all smell alike. What is wrong with you to write something so ugly and groundless?!
If you kinda like the smell of an oldish vintage scent then this is for you. Smelling this I think of libraries and aged wood. It is a fragrance that feels a bit more mature but it wears AMAZINGLY and lasts all day long with two sprays. Wearable no matter your age
“Vintage” and “mature” - YES! Thank you Kayla!! These are the more appropriate, more helpful descriptions other than “smells like old ladies” or “stinks like a grandma”. Other options would be classic, retro, heavy, a (insert decade) vibe, trends favored by previous generations, cloying, etc. Let’s get those useless ”old lady references outta here and use more descriptive, respective language!
I did not enjoy this scent at all. It was an odd mix of men's cologne and rose that does not work together.
I do like this scent because I like the more woodsy smell. This one is a tad bit too masculine in the beginning but it does mellow out after a few hours.
My least favorite
It smelled old, I didn’t like it at all.
Ok for Grandma
My title says it all. If I smelled my grandma wearing this, I'd compliment here on how lovely it smells. But for me, it's a no-go. The floral part of the scent wears quickly, leaving you with this musty heavy after smell (probably where grandma comes in).
I, and many of my friends, are 1) old enough to be grandmas; 2) Wear fragrances that are not in the least alike; 3) Wear fragrances that are not musty. Honestly, what are you thinking? Yours is a cruel, useless review. Do better and show some intelligence, sensitivity, and imagination!
The scent was ok. Doesn’t last very long
Nice, but light.
What I could smell of the scent was pleasant. It's a very light scent, but with a pleasing floral scent. This is definitely not an easily noticed scent, but one that would require close quarters, or a sharp sense of smell to be noticed.
average musky scent
For a musky scent it's ok for the fall. If you don't have any musky scents it's ok. This just doesn't compete with Tom Ford Noir EDT or EDP. If you want a more creamy musky scent get Noir. This scent however smells a little too floral.
Nice dirty 🌹
Definitely a keeper. Very high quality juice that I wished lasted a little longer. Leans a bit more masculine in my opinion but I can see an older female pulling this one off. Projection is arms length for the first 3 hours then sits closer to the skin. Sillage is moderate... Not my manrose by etro but not bad at all!
An amazing fragrance that you have to wait for.
On initial spray you are greeted with a very punchy dark rose. Almost a tuberose like scent but still more floral. I thought i had made a mistake by making this as my choice of the month. If you're willing to soldier on through the initial rosy blast you are in for a treat. After about the 20 minute mark the midnotes of citrus and spices begin to push into the forefront with the underlying rose still supporting and you begin to see the masterpiece that has been created. Finally, right around 45 minutes to an hour the combination of dark spices, amber and dark rose will give you that OH MY GAWD moment. This fragrance gives about a foot or two of projection and sillage. Give it a try if you're adventurous and you will not be disappointed. warning: that initial dark rose is very punchy!
