The Eau de Cartier reminds me of Prada Infusion d'iris once the citrus top note burns off, which is in about 1 minute. Top notes do generally evaporate quickly, but immediately? I can see how some reviewers found this grandmotherish. The middle notes are violet and lavender (more violet) that often smell soapy, particularly with the musky/cedar base. If you like clean, green and soft soapy scents then this is a good option to try. If you like really spicy or sweet perfume, don't bother. This would be a mild everyday scent for me if I didn't already own the Prada.
Basically, this is a citrusy top note (1 minute), soft floral-more herbaceous middle (20 minutes), and then cedar, white musk base note. My major issue is with the longevity, which is about 2 hours, after that it really just smells like soap. This is definitely and eau de toilet.
Scentbird, Hermes please :)
