Nosferatu

This perfume was so nice it smelled like an old closet with drying flowers

it’s strange…surprisingly earthy with floral undertones, and much milder than I anticipated. But I like it, in a way it reminds me of a gravebed, nor fresh though. More like ancient soil that has been churned with dried flowers and left to lie for a few days before the coffin is lowered. An earthy floral with damp notes and overall a very pleasant scent.

Smelled like the water in Louisiana yuck!

Not a horror, but you'd expect more of a smell unless the inspiration was meant to evoke seeing a shadow or a person from the corner of your eye. Was there actually a scent? Did you imagine it? Could Count Orlok really be an old lady? Does it evoke the vague scent of funerals? (yes to the last one, and even as a lover of the macabre, I don't exactly want to smell like a funeral home...)

This smells exactly like candied violet tastes. It’s a cold scent for sure. For me that’s the only thinking in common with the namesake. It doesn’t really give dark or gothic to me. A slight rain and coldness but really it’s very much candied violet all the way for me. I like it, but I feel like it needs something to layer with to make it more wearable. Luckily candied violet is something I am fond of. It’s just not very sexy or personal on the skin.
