The Ghost In The Shell

When I opened the bottle, but before I sprayed, I loved the smell. It was kind of a classic 'perfume' smell, like maybe a fresh hotel room vibe but in a good way? Now that I've sprayed it, it is pretty metallic/citrusy. I'd say it is sharp, not warm, and strong. It almost is a bit too floral/powdery to me right now, but even after 30 mins of wear the scent is changing into something I like a bit more. Definitely an interesting perfume.

So I think part of the reason I hated this so much was that I went solely off the notes Scentbird had listed. So that was my expectation going in, clean, citrus and fruity. But what I ended up getting with my skin chemistry was clean with a light fake textile scent, which morphed into strong vinyl smell and finally dried down to jasmine but still that really disgusting vinyl smell lingered. Like if someone had sprayed jasmine perfume in a car with a bunch of vinyl/plastic, or over brand new PVC clothes that JUST came out of the bag. I absolutely hated it. That vinyl smell latched onto my skin, wouldn’t leave and drowned everything out, so no yuzu or pear for me either. To be fair, I’m not the biggest floral person, so that’s also impacting my choice. Apparently the designer was aiming for a “cybernetic, futuristic clash between cold metal parts and human skin”. My skin gave me knock off all plastic Temu robot smashed into a bowl of jasmine. 😂🤮

Not as good as I’d hoped. The immediate smell is harsh but the dry down is good.

The ONLY floral I've ever been able to wear that didn't pull granny or powdery. I'm not sure if it will go into my permanent rotation but I was surprised how much I liked it.

It's all about the opening: bright yuzu w subtle "rabbit" candy (japanese milk flavour). V v interesting. The midde does not last long and the dry down is too salty/piercing synth vetiver that you smell on everyone. Definitely worth sampling.
