Michel Germain is the award-winning perfumer who creates luxury fragrances that invite seduction using gorgeous, natural oils. Known internationally for their natural oils, his fragrances invite closeness, create allure, and inspire love. It is this element of Michel Germain fragrances that have catapulted his fragrances to the top of the fragrance world and into a niche of its very own. He was honoured with the “Lifetime Achievement” Award by his peers, honouring his contribution to the fragrance world for over 25 years. Michel began his career out of love for his wife, Norma, in search of a fragrance blend that she would fall madly in love with every day. His first fragrance Sexual, was a message of love to Norma. With each subsequent fragrance, Norma loves every scent or Michel will not offer it to the world.

Michel Germain

Michel Germain is a Canadian perfumer who discovered his love for fragrance thanks to his wife. Germain’s wife Norma wanted a fragrance that made her feel like the “only woman in the world”, and this inspired his first creation. This unique creative brief motivated Germain to experiment with different fragrance formulations. Shortly after, his first fragrance, Michel Germain Séxūal EDP, was born in 1994.

Germain wanted to create a quintessentially romantic scent but with hints of aphrodisiac-like aromas. He focused on expanding his knowledge of botany to ensure his expressions come to life in a unique and captivating way. Michel Germain Séxūal embodies this vision with a mix of sensual notes like Japanese osmanthus, bergamot, and clementine in the top note. The heart is a blend of jasmine, gardenia, and red rose layered on a base of decadent cinnamon, vanilla, and myrrh. This unique Michel Germain perfume is sophisticated but also tempting and seductive.

Shortly after, a male version, Séxūal Pour Homme, was released, evoking the same desire as the female version. This Michel Germain cologne is packed with tempting masculine notes like basil, petitgrain, lavender, sage, musk, and sandalwood.

Throughout the years, the original Michel Germain Séxūal for women has seen many iterations, each one carving out a unique fan base. Two of the bestsellers are Séxūal Noir EDP and Séxūal Paris EDP. Séxūal Noir celebrates fearless love with sweet strawberries, patchouli, and innocent pink sweet pea flower. The base of this Michel Germain perfume balances the sweet notes with vetiver, amber, and vanilla, giving a darker edge to the scent. Séxūal Paris blends French blackcurrant with clementine, jasmine, amber, and natural Parisian oils. Each of these scents features a masculine version to accompany the female version: Séxūal Noir Cologne and Séxūal Paris Cologne.

Michel Germain perfumes continued to launch captivating collections like the Sugarful range. The first fragrance in the collection, Sugarful EDP, was launched in 2019. This playful Michel Germain perfume bottles the feeling of first love with a blend of strawberry, pink peony, and cotton candy. Musk and sandalwood in the base add to the seductive drydown. This scent inspired more flankers like Sugarful Dream EDP with French lavender and blueberry, Sugarful Kiss EDP with ripe cherries and red freesia, and Sugarful Sunshine EDP with pineapple, frangipani, and coconut water.
