While I love to think Phlur’s new fragrance Cherry Stem is named for the infamous ‘cherry stem’ party trick, I’ve yet to uncover the receipts—but will run with it until proven otherwise. This cherry leans dark, boozy and lacquered, with black cherry and orange brandy entwined at the top. Red freesia, jasmine, and succulent plum nectar create a vibrant heart, all wrapped up in an edgy leather and soft caramel dry down. Rich like a merlot, tart rather than sweet. Juicy fruit, but make it femme fatale.
