We Need to Talk About Lattafa Yara—The Most Overlooked Scent on #PerfumeTok

lattafa yara

I swear I try to gatekeep perfumes, but I can’t lie—and I overshare for a living. So when someone asks what I’m wearing, I tell them. And lately it’s Lattafa Yara. It’s already blowing up on Reddit and #PerfumeTok, so grab it now, before it becomes the next Santal 33. Then you can say, “I wore it first.” (I always do.)

If Lattafa Yara Were a Person, She’d Be the One Everyone Asks About

The reasons I love Lattafa Yara are endless. It’s a vanilla-forward perfume soaked in fruity nectars and gourmand accords. On paper, it sounds sugary and juvenile—but it’s anything but. I usually lean floral, where citrus top notes sparkle and petals take center stage, but Lataffa’s Yara rewrites that script. It opens with florals drenched in tangerine juice, then melts into creamy clouds of nectar and vanilla. Finally, it settles into soft musks and my favorite woody note of all: Sandalwood. The most interesting thing about Lattafa Yara is that the vanilla should be the star, hogging the spotlight—but no. This vanilla is a team player.

I also love that it’s affordable, because if there’s one thing Yara teaches us, it’s that you can smell expensive without paying exorbitant sums. You might read or hear that this one smells like strawberry—I don’t. I get my strawberry fix somewhere else (hi, Strawberry Shortcake perfume).

No, Yara is soft, delicate, floral. The kind of scent that makes you smile at yourself in passing. Everyone’s favorite type, no?

Another thing I love about Lattafa Yara? Her flankers.  Yara Tous is a coconut–mango–passionfruit trio that nails what a tropical vanilla-cashmeran perfume should smell like—sunny, creamy, and addictive. Yara Candy, on the other hand, is pure strawberry milkshake energy (the kind that brings all the boys fans to the yard). And Yara Moi? She stirs patchouli into the mix for a deeper, moodier twist—if you’re a fan, don’t skip this one.

Oh, and in case you missed it—Lattafa just dropped Yara Elixir, the boldest evolution yet. For everyone who thinks the original Yara is “too soft,” this one projects so beautifully it could be admired two towns over. So, my sister—if you read this—close your eyes, because this is what you’re getting for the holidays this year.  And if you’re craving more fragrance finds that are blowing up right now—oh, we’ve definitely got you.
