Half way between a flirtatious temptress and a dancing queen, temperature rises just by her presence. Sweet honey notes at the start lie on a vanilla-tangerine accord and the slightly musky, solar accord of the base tells the radiant warmness of her skin under her laughing throat. Strong at first but settled into a lush scent
This makes me want to snuggle up in a cozy blanket. I wasn’t sure about this scent until I wore it for a few hours. It blends with my body chemistry beautifully and turns into a barely there musk with a spicy powder finish.
I love smelling expensive 🤓
I have tried other fragrances from this brand but this one is the best !!! Expensive , classic , intriguing. Makes you want to keep the scent on you day and night .
Not my favorite scent
Had an undertone scent i didnt care for. Just not for me.
Smells like fall/ winter
Noel Au Balcon
Intrigued by the name and the bad-boy reputation of Etat Libre d'Orange, I took a chance and purchased a small ampule, hoping as always, for the best. It was absolute love at first sniff! There is something so provocatively different from the homogenized world of perfume we encounter daily. Something so wistful and strange, yet familiarly comforting and joyous. The balance of the ingredients creates this longing, and obsession of the nose to return, and attempt at recapturing the enchantment. Yes, honey and apricot open, strongly forward, but not in a way that is predominantly spicy, or sweet. Case in point, it is not predominately anything. Clover, caraway and cardamon brighten the jammy notes and freshen the experience entire. Cinnamon and vanilla are palpable, but not oppressing or vulgar; just content at softening green notes and carrying the components further into the dry-down. Orange, paprika and earthier scents ground the perfume and open olfactory channels. So the scent seems to linger and breath like an organic, evolving being. My only complaint is the price, but given the symphony of structure and harmony of chords, I hardly begrudge the purchase.
Not what I was expecting
Don't really know what I was expecting to get with this one but I was pleasantly surprised. It does not smell like I thought it would. It's spicier then I thought it would be but I like it.
not what expected
Thought it would be fruitier.
Interesting & Delicious
This fragrance is complex. It’s gorgeous. It smells delicious. It reminded me, a bit, of high end cigar shop. Really interesting.
One of my favorites
I love patchouli! I try all fragrances I can find with it in the formula. This is one of my favorites.
I'm in love with this perfume company.
This perfume is just the right balance of spicy and sweet. I like my scents a little stronger but im still pleased with it as it lasts most of the day. Two thumbs up!!!
Noped that right away
I’m super confused, the description sounded right up my alley, but I smell like straight up honeysuckle and something floral like violets maybe. I’m getting zero Spiciness, for sure gotta give this one away.
I could smell different undertones at different times. Really like this scent.
I really enjoyed this scent and would consider it a good daily scent for myself.
This is a great winter scent. Love it!
Can smell the honey and citrus. Wonderful scent.
I actually love it, but it's a bit overwhelming for me to wear right now. When the temperature drops I plan to try again. I like the warm, honeyed spiciness, but I don't recommend wearing it in the heat during quarantine. It is a seasonal scent – not in a casual "pumpkin spice latte" way, but more elegant, like going on an opera date at Christmas. On me, this was a bit strong – I recommend going light because the musky notes linger.
Not my favorite, not the worst.
I agree with previous reviewers. This is STRONG and best saved for when you reach approximately 70 years of age and are retired; so that no one else has to smell it at work. It’s disgusting.
Orange blossom forward
This is very strong orange blossoms and honey. Its pretty, lasts ages in a skin-scent form and is easy to wear. Downsides for me is that its very sweet and I'm not crazy about orange blossom. I was hoping for more of the other notes to come forward. But they never did. Orange blossom honey.
Honey Drenched, Spicy Fruit
This fragrance smells EXACTLY as advertised. I'm typically not into fruity smells as I find they end up too boozy with my body chemistry. However, the addition of honey and spice round this scent out to be extremely accessible. Smells like fall, for sure!
cinammon and pepper
Too strong, can't smell the citrus at all. just cinammon and paprika, like a Christmas potpourri sac.
Fall in a bottle
Warm, spicy, powdery and sweet but not in a sickening/cheap smelling way. I never go for sweet perfumes but this one is fantastic. It's not overpowering at all, and reminds me of how a craft store or a bath and body works smells during October/fall months, but a very sophisticated perfume version. Best way I can describe.
This is a celebration in a bottle
This is like a cold weather scent. It's sexy it's mysterious it's a party. I absolutely love it.
Dident smell like description
Not citrusy at all wont buy again.
Orange Noel au Balcon
This fragrance is wounderful, I wish it stayed with me longer, this is ine that I'll buy, its beautiful!
I never knew it was possible to smell like both a freshly powdered baby and a filthy rich 95 year old woman at the same time. I don’t think the smell is terrible. But it’s definitely not for me. Very powdery. I could smell myself all day but when I asked my friends their opinion on the scent they said they couldn’t smell it. 🤷🏻♀️
My new favorite!
I like it
Strange, but good. Really can’t say what it smells like... chill.
Scent too strong
Not what i expected. Sprayed very little on one wrist and got immediate headache.
Love it but a lil weak
Love the scent! Wish it was longer lasting.
Yummy, spicy fall/winter season scent
ELdO are known for having more adventurous perfume names, but most are really crowd pleasers. I think this one will be. The other good thing is they have sillage and lasting power of an '80s perfume.
A bit too strong
I usually love these types of fragrances but this one kind of smelled a bit bug spray like.
Love this citrus scent
Love the perfume notes in this fragrance it exceeded all my expectations
Spicy and citrusy, long-lasting
Scent is good
It smelled exactly as imagined
Red hot candy balls?
I had to reread the description...yeah a cinnamon spicy orange vanilla...a little too crisp for my preferences..maybe I will try layering in on vanilla lotion? Or coconut or Brazilian Bum Bum...to make in sweeter, more mellow...
LOVE this scent. Any time I wear this I end up smelling my wrists all day - its just delicious. It's sweet, but not overly, warm and summery and a bit floral (definitely not Christmas-y! I don't get the spice notes personally, just the warmth) but not in an in-your-face tropical/floral kind of way like a lot of summer scents can be. Feels like a scent for a woman in her 30s - grown up and unique and not at all old lady-ish.
yuukkk 100% 👎 if you are under 65years of age...you will NOT like this perfume, TRUST me!!! complete great-great grandmother-y scent. ( love u Gram-Gram) don't even bother
just don't waste your monthly choice on this scent..you'll regret it and it waste your money 💸
The description matched the smell very well. It seems to last the bulk of the day and isn't too overpowering.
love it!! want to get full bottle to my collection
It is little strong first, but not long, and then it turns to so delicious and sweet fragrance. Not sugar sweet, just something fruity.
is okay i guess... not really a big fan of my choices for July hope I do good for my August!
Fruits & Honey
This scent is delightful. Juicy fruits with added sweetness and warmth from the honey, I’m really enjoying it. As it dries down the fruits move to the background and the orange blossom comes through beautifully. I would wear this in the Spring/Summer. Would recommend if you’re looking for an easy-wear fragrance that doesn’t smell like every other sweet floral in stores. This one is unique and I plan on purchasing a full bottle.
Just not for me
There is nothing wrong with it I just wasn't a fan
Ultimately Not Worth It
The opening either smelled like nothing or sometimes a bit rank. The dry down was actually quite pleasant, spicy and cinnamony, but I don’t think it’s worth it just for the dry down.
I just could wear, too strong for me.
I can’t handle scents too strong, it was a little overpowering for my taste.
I absolutely loved this perfume. My only complaint is that it is not long lasting.
Smells like fresh honey & springtime. My boyfriend loved this on me, even though it's different from the usual vanilla-y scents he loves. It still has the sweetness I love in a scent, but has such a brightness & uniqueness to it!
Couldn’t decide how I felt
I think I liked the idea of this scent better than how it smelled in my skin. Maybe great for someone else?
Very posotive. Helps other customers, like myself, we need more comments like yours. Thank you
Nice and fresh
I was surprised how much I liked this sent. Very fresh, crisp and long lasting.
Warm & Spicy
I love how spicy this scent is. It's a winter fragrance, too warm for hot weather. Perfect for holidays! It's spicy without smelling like baked goods.
Great scent just not my perfect one
Lovely smell a little too 70s and spicy for me
Not a wintery scent
For me this perfume does not smell Christmasy - in fact, it's name is misleading. I would say it is a spring scent of white flowers. Surprisingly, it lasts long on me and fades away gradually. I would buy a full bottle.
Muskier and more floral than expected.
Just my thoughts
Not a fan of this one
A nice warm scent
Very pretty! A little strong on the patchouli, but I enjoyed this one overall!
Sexy, sweet and a little spicy
Sweet oranges and honey with a little spice. A beautiful feminine scent that is a bit more mature than I would normally choose. It lasts all day but wasn't too overpowering.
Fresh, sweet, if you love a good honey scent, this is for you!
Great for winter holidays. Seat with hot cocoa next to fireplace listening jazz and smelling divine
Slightly sweet, slightly spicy, slightly musky. Great one!
I love this one
does not last
loved this scent for winter holiday season! memories of oranges and cloves. would give 5 stars but poor staying power
A little sweet for my everyday taste, but very good for the holidays.
This scent was pleasant but more "mature" then I expected. It is reminiscent of an older lady in church. It was too strong overall so I was not a fan.
Not my personal style, but it definitely lasts and is noticeable
I smell the honey note strongly. It is dominant on first spray and dry down. I could not smell any other notes so if you enjoy honey on your biscuit, try this.
A very nice scent, but a little too feminine for me. Don't worry, I have someone to gift it to.
Smells like church incense.
A tad unisex, but love the spicy, woodsy notes! Pretty long lasting, too!
not crazy about it
Why patchouli isn’t listed as a main note in this fragrance, I don’t know. It smells like... patchouli. I can’t wait to wash it off of my body and throw the bottle in the trash can. Very disappointing.
Girl dont throw it away, send it to me!!!

Loveeeee the Spice
This has been one of my favorite fragrances. I love the spicy notes.
too musty old lady smelling
It’s too strong of patchouli.
Beautiful intense scent that lasted for 6 hours...Gorgeous.
Love the way it smells, doesnt last long and not strong enough
My first spray and I was accosted by unlisted/unmentioned patchouli! I strongly dislike patchouli as much as it dislikes me. After an hour I get tangerine and the faintest hint of honey and vanilla. No cinnamon, no paprika, no apricot. This smells nothing like any of the listed notes.

Not For Me
I really wanted to like this perfume, but it just didn't smell the way I expected at all, at least on me. I was hoping for a warm spicy-sweet scent but on me all I can smell is the honey note with a bit of powdery white floral on the back end. I couldn't smell the cinnamon or paprika at all, the honey is pretty over powering. If you've smelled The Body Shops Honey line and like that but want a stronger fragrance, this would be perfect for you. It's not a bad scent, just not for me.
Not what i was expecting.

Smooth orange spice
My first fragrance by this house and I'm in love!! Brightened up a cool winter day with the orange, and while it's spicy, it's not thick, heavy, cloying. Or even cozy and warm! (although the die down does start to go there) . It's more...refreshing. This lovely citrus spice mix that makes me smile. I feel alert and ready to start my day with this scent. It's not a loud, bold, in your face so wake the hell up kind of invigorating. It's mellow. And it's my new favorite winter scent. Thanks Scentbird!
Christmas in a bottle
There is something about this perfume that reminds me of Christmas when I was a child. it is lovely and makes me feel warm and comforted like a hug from a loved one.

Warm holiday scent
As winter scents go, I find this one quite pleasing, especially on cold days. It has a warmth to it that keeps it from smelling too sweet. I find it a little heavy for daytime, but I do enjoy it in the late afternoon or evening. A nice go-to scent for a holiday gathering or for reminiscing about holidays past.

Smells nice just not for me
It smells more mature than I like. It smells good. I like smelling it I just wouldn't wear it

Beautiful in Cool Weather
Has a really pretty mix of white florals and sweet gourmand mix of fruit, spice, and honey. I absolutely did not like it when it was warmer, but is kind of addicting in December weather.

Dries down to a wonderful scent!
I wasn't sure I liked it when I spritzed it on- really sweet, but with a tang of apricot behind it- but after the dry down it was marvelous! I can definitely smell the honey, apricot, and orange blossom, and the ghost of patchouli and cinnamon, and it blends into a soft, delicious scent that has me sniffing my wrists to get more of it!

At first, the smell is a bit strong and cologne like but it dries down to a more sweet and complex scent that lasts a long time on me. I definitely smell the honey. It is a warm, cozy scent perfect for fall and winter. Love it!

Christmas in the tropics
This frag lives up to exactly what it promises, playful naughtiness and all. Smelling of spiced stewed fruits, it’s such an odd perfume that it actually puzzled my spouse as to what it was supposed to “be” until I described it as ‘Christmas in Hawaii’. True, you can smell the tropics behind the spice.I loved all of the notes on paper, but for one reason or another I wasn’t overly fond of the fragrance. I guess I’m not a fan of stewed fruit. Since that really is what this smells like, If you’re excited by the idea—or if you're looking for a tropical scent with a Christmassy kick—I would still recommend this scent as a good one.
Nice but strong fragrance. The citrus and patchouli are very prominent. This should be worn lightly and given time to air out before trying to judge the scent.
Not my favorite
Another scent that I don’t love, but don’t hate. The floral seems to take over (at least for me), and I expected much more of a warm, spicy scent, so was disappointed.

I don't hate the perfume. It is just very very strong, so apply with caution!
45 to 54
Very strong. The Patchouli is over powering-i am not a pachouli fan- and the orange is more of a strong rine smell than actual orange. I wish there was a way to return this. Also, husband hated it. Hope I get something better next time.

This is a new favorite for me. It is a gorgeously warm and spicy perfume. If you love vanilla and citrus scents, you must try this one.

Smells like honey
Absolutely love this!!
Smells really good, however I have to reapply many times throughout the day. Not a good value. I would have bought a full size bottle if it was not for this factor.

First try was a thumbs down.
No where on these scent notes does it include patchouli, however, it is one of the first things listed when the perfume arrived. I enjoy the cinnamon and orange notes in this, but it is not a scent I would ever wear. Just... ick.

Not for me
The Patchouli is too strong for for me.
Spicy, sweet and delicious.
At first, I thought this was a little heavy & mature smelling. By midday, I decided this sweet & spicy scent was like a delicious hug - I have gotten so many compliments on this one and it's on my list for a full bottle purchase. It's more of a wintery scent, so I'll hold off at least until Fall, but it's definitely going in my rotation. My favorite ELDO scent now.
This is definitely one of my favorites!
Worth a try
It smells really nice. Spicy and warm..almost unisex but pretty sweet. Def. had a shape shifting character. This is definitely a fall time /winter scent burn honestly could see myself throwing a little on during a summer night
I read the description and notes they presented but they failed to mention the awful patchouli. That's one smell I cannot take.
Sweet and inviting
I’m incredibly happy that I purchased this one! It smells amazing. Perfect for winter months-it’s sweet and inviting, but not sticky sweet at all because of a bit of spice. It does smell a bit like the holidays. I get asked what I’m wearing all the time-if you’re on the fence, go for it with this one. It is so good!
This is a beautiful scent only wish it lasted longer
This is a very original scent. People kept asking me what it was. Light enough to wear to work and I'm in the medical field.
This is more floral than I expected. It's not a bad smell but not what I expected from the scent notes.
A classic oriental
First blast is a big indolic jasmine, which soon mellows out to a lovely spiced honey. The jasmine is present but not overpowering, and this is overall a very classic oriental, old-school but not outdated. Lasts a long time with good projection.
Mmm smells good!
This is a really good warm floral scent. Smell so good (but have to reapply through out the day)
