When American student John F. Kennedy met Parisian aristocrat Albert Fouquet in the French Riviera, not only was he charmed by the man, he was also intrigued by his hand-crafted scent. Upon his return to the US, JFK made a quirky request for eight samples—"and if your production allows, another one for Bob". Today, “EIGHT & BOB” continues to be one of the most exclusive colognes, preferred by the world’s most classic men.

Egypt is a sophisticated blend of bright citrus, fresh lavender, warm nutmeg, and smooth leather that gets your gear prepped for any adventure. Its effortless refinement makes it an excellent selection for exploring Middle Eastern ruins or a Middle Eastern menu on date night.

There may be no greater symbol of ancient mystery and exploration than the country of Egypt. The lure of the Great Pyramids, with their inner chambers redolent of exotic desert oils punctuating the regal serenity of entombed Pharaohs. The temptation of hiking through foreign lands and experiencing the rich, sensual distraction of centuries-old culture.
This has not been my favorite so far. I was expecting something different exotic mysterious. To me it is intense, smells like ceder wood soaked in bay rum and sugar. It is sweet. I see some folks recommend for date nite, uhhh no! Unless you want your partner, the sheets and possibly the room to smell like this ...a little dab will do ya.
I wasn’t expecting this scent to be so sweet - especially since it is categorized as a winter scent. For winter I think wood and spice. I do think it smells okay, but would probably wear it in spring or summer.
First impression, I wasn't feeling the open. Once it set, it grew on me. It's Earthy, a bit sweet, kinda cinnamon-y, and different from the fragrances I usually purchase. Definitely a fall/winter. 5/5 I'd recommend, and get again.
I really liked this scent. It's a classic male barber shop kind of scent that will be mass appealing. Unfortunately this was my scent from October and Scentbird didn't mail it until mid-November so I had to wait a long time to get it.
This is absolutely one of the best fragrances I’ve come across. I do see where Egypt can be compared to Obsession, but it’s much more refined and sophisticated to me. This is one worth splurging on and would be great for a date and is perfect for fall/winter.
the nutmeg and leather give a kungfu kick to the head its definitely a strong masculine on the open the dry down is citrusy but it doesn't last long this fragrance isn't a heavy hitter with projection after the first hour it lightly lingers around the room
Egypt is a sophisticated blend of bright citrus, fresh lavender, warm nutmeg, and smooth leather.
And boy is it. I could bathe in this fragrance. My wife wears it and it drives me absolutely mad. It smells like what a dapper man or woman would smell like. This is the type of scent you find in smokey jazz clubs. Would suggest 101%
Sweet and slightly spicy fragrance that is more masculine IMO. Starts off nice citrus and lavender. Very clean to my nose. Turns sweet and spicy within minutes. Very enjoyable into the dry down which for me is mostly leather. A winner and my first from the house... Enjoy!
This was my first time using scentbird and although the perfume didn't come until a week after my birthday I LOVE THIS SCENT. All I can say to describe it is this is a grown women's perfume and it stays on all day. I absolutely love this perfume it makes me feel sexy everytime I put it on!
I am very selective with my scents and how they work on my skin. But this scent makes me feel like a million bucks. When you first spray it’s very intense and then it settles into a spicy citrus. If you wear it, it will surely turn heads as you walk on by. It’s definitely a winter scent and it has become an instant favorite.
Based on the description of this cologne I was expecting something a little more spicy and exotic (though I guess exotic is relative), but in actuality, it's more of a balanced warm scent with a heavy vanilla register on my skin. It reminds me a lot of Givenchy Pi; something you would imagine on a man at a yacht club wearing a dinner jacket.
This cologne is pretty good, just not for me. I thought about rating it a 3, but I can appreciate the scent on other people so I ultimately rated it a 4.
Eight & Bob is one of my favorite brands, and Egypt is the reason why. It's a masculine, subtly sweet aroma that is strong and performs very well. Everytime I've worn it I get asked what I'm wearing and complimented.
It’s perfect for a man. My husband asked if I was wearing his cologne. It’s not Metro, where it could pass for both male & female. It’s masculine with no hint of femininity. My husband gladly took it, & I enjoy it on him.
This is a scent I would imagine would divide most opinions, which I think any niche scent should. When I first spray Egypt, it's heavy and sweet. The nutmeg, lavender and sweet citrus produce a scent to me that is reminiscent of licorice. More specifically it reminds me of the Red Hot candies I ate when I was a kid.
If you're adding this to your queue expecting a lot of Middle Eastern spicy scents, you will be disappointed. There is none of that here. Instead you get a sweet hot candy scent. It would be good for casual meet ups, but I personally wouldn't wear it for a date. It would be distracting in the work place, I think.
I love this great leather, sandalwood and nutmeg fragrance. Very well blended with a slight citrus opening, a spicy lavender heart, on top of a beautiful patchouli, leather base. You will definitely get noticed. Versatile and well suited for casual and dressier occasions.
Egypt is a winner. The notes are not overpowering once you give it a minute to absorb into the skin. You initially smell the leather notes, followed by the lavender, and then after a few minutes the citrus, and nutmeg are more prominent. Loved it!
The name absolutely fits!! I fell hard for this one upon first whiff. So elegantly crafted with all the right amounts of each ingredient but i do get a really smooth blend of leather, lavender & nutmeg that stands out on my skin... then slowly the citrus creeps in the mix. So so unique & simply gorgeous. Projection is right around 6 feet & it lasts a good 6 hours before it starts to sit closer to the skin. My god this stuff is addictive & the wife loves it. Very masculine but not overpowering at all... Hard to describe but when I close my eyes & smell, I can't help but think of an Egyptian Pharaoh sitting at his throne, with incense burning all around him, and imagining this is what he would smell like... Definitely one of my favorites thus far. Great choice scentbird and thank you cause i would never have found this one.
