I love the look and feel of this palette, but the blushes require soooo much on the brush to even show up on your face. The eyeshadows also require additional product, but still go on much easier than the blush. The lip colors are cute and well suited for many skin tones.
I haven't used anything other than the lip color which I feel should be called lip stain since that's the best way to use it. I love both colors and they last a long time when applied with gloss. I wish the pallet could come apart so that I could just carry them and not the whole thing.
The peach shadow and the highlighter were all I liked about this palette.
The pink lip color is more of a thin, sheer stain. The brown lip color was very, very gooey and thick. The blush was discolored in the pan and is very poorly pigmented. The light pink shadow comes right off when you blend it out. The brown shadow applies very blotchy and is very hard to blend. It's just bad overall, and definitely not a good first impression of Deck of Scarlet.
I kinda feel like this palette was a reject but the company wanted to find a way to get their money anyway ...
I am so happy Scentbird has added Deck of Scarlet palettes! This palette is the complete package, it's perfect for travel. The colors are very pigmented and long lasting. The lips are nice but they aren't that long lasting but that's ok. I love mixing the two lip shades together, it makes another beautiful shade. I just put the purple palette into my queue.
I love these colors. But I'm disappointed the eyeliner was not included. I switched from deck of scarlet to Scent bird because theI had subscription here. I wish they would have plainly expressed the eyeliner was not part of it. I realize the online description doesn't mention it. Disappointing
Actually I noticed that they switched from the eyeliner (or lipliner, depending on the palette) being listed ON THE PRODUCT PAGE which absolutely implied that it was *INCLUDED* in what you get with the palette, to now being its own separate product. It was never pictured itself but was most definitely included in the arm swatch - and still is! I don?t know if that was a goof or what, but it is certainly misleading and I was indeed frustrated by that.
I like that Scentbird is expanding into a variety of options, but it seems like they are trying to do too much too quickly and that leaves greater risk for these errors. Hey Scentbird, SLOW DOWN and don?t get ahead of yourself!
Loving my pallet just got it very very pigmented very pretty very smooth
I'm guessing you don't get the Koko khavari when it's ordered through scentbird because I did not receive one even though that's part of the pallet ... sad about that it should have been stated
