I fell in love with this after I recieved it in an ipsy bag.
The first spray smelled like alcohol, which is common. But, a few minutes later I was elated! Who knew perfume could make someone so happy? Well, lots of people, actually.. I didn't realize it was an eau de toilette. Heck, it lasts waaay longer than most of my eau de perfumes!! This lil gem lasted all day, and I can still faintly smell it on my arm, even more so on my shirt. It was such a beautiful smelling scent that I used my ipsy sample very sparingly. I was so happy to see it was an option on scent bird. One thing I find odd, is that the scent profile they show above the review section mentions musk, and cashmere (It was cashmere something). But, the card sent along with it, only mentions vanilla, blackberry, jasmine, and rose. No biggie, just confusing :p.
I realize that everyone has different experiences with perfume due to chemistry.
These are the notes I smell
First spritz- it smells only of alcohol. This pretty much goes for all perfumes, in my experience.
As it dries down- I smell a lovely, sweet, only slightly berry smell. Which doesn't really smell like blackberry IMO. I don't know how to describe it. There are definitely musk and cashmere vibes, which remain a theme throughout the day.
After an hour or two- it settles into a sweet almost tobacco smell, with hints of berry and vanilla
The rest of the day- I smell hints of all the above. Heavy vanilla vibes <3.
When I wake up, I can still smell it. It's weird, because it almost has a subtle soapy smell the next day? It's strange. But, I like it. I'm not the best when it comes to descriptions. As for the soapy smell, it reminds me of my beloved Lilu from Pac Sun. Jessica Simpson's "I fancy You" has the same smell IMO (in case anyone cares)..
I do not pick up any rose or jasmine.
It is not a sickening sweet, like that cotton candy body spray many of us used back in the day. Thanks Calgon! It's a more adult version of sweet. It's not headache inducing. It's not a perfume that will choke up a whole room, either. It's delicate, soft, and sweet. People will still be able to smell it when they are close. Imagine standing in line somewhere... They will smell it, but it's not going to be offensive. It will be heavenly and divine lol. People always ask what it is.
My poor boyfriend is my sniff tester (he's a good sport). Every time I get a new perfume, I make him smell it before I apply, and after. He gives this one a stamp of approval, and trust me, if he doesn't like it... he WILL let me know. He said it almost smelled "creamy". I can kinda see how he would think that.
